April 13th

Today we will finish our contour candy drawings, outline them in sharpie and trace them onto the nice water color paper with pencil.

Tuesday we will finish our worksheets and begin putting the background wash on our watercolor paper!

April 12th

Today there will be ten minutes given for students who are behind in the plant drawing. After this ten minutes students who haven't finished will have to do this as homework outside of class. Today we will begin our contour candy drawings refer to slides for warm up and instructions.

April 11th

No silent warm up today, we will jump right into finishing up our contour value study plant drawings.

April 10th

Today we will be drawing from still life's, utilizing both our contour lines and shading/value. The instructions and warm ups can be found here.

If you are absent feel free to do a macro drawing of plant life outside your house (if the weather is permitting), otherwise you may draw from a photograph.

April 9th

Wonderful job on Friday with the contour lines! I was extremely impressed! Because of Friday's fire drill we were not able to begin our hand exercise, today we will spend 15-20 minutes completing this. Then we will pull out Friday's fantastic model drawings and begin experimenting with chalk over all of them. You will turn in your hand drawing as well as your favorite face exercise. Refer to the slides for examples, instructions and the warm up.
