Freeday! Today is the last day to turn in late or missing work, so class today is dedicated to finishing anything you need to turn in to bump up your grade! Grades have been posted and up to date on the board for the past two weeks. Today's artists/warm up is something I came across online, although it doesn't fit with our project at hand, it is a fun and creative way to make a portrait!
For those of you who are all caught up with work, you may begin painting the tints of your project again. If this is finished you may begin the shades in the background of your project.

April 25th
Today I will demonstrate painting on our project with tints and shades. All the shapes inside your animal will be tints of the one color you choose. Once all tints are laid down you can go through and paint all the background shapes with shades of the same color. You cannot begin this until you have completed the tints and shades exercise!

Today will will be creating a contour drawing of an animal, this will later tie into our painting project later this week. Students may find an image in the magazines at school or use an animal I have printed copies of.
Remember, Thursday is the last day of this six weeks, turn in any missing work!
